Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Welcome to vibrant Vietnam. Settle into a special two night stay at your iconic hotel. (D)

Day 2: Hanoi
Visit the History Museum and Hoa Lu Prison, or stroll through the bustling local markets to buy ingredients for an authentic cooking class. Alternatively, cycle along the Red River or visit Ho Chi Minh Quarter and Mausoleum, including a visit to the Temple of Literature.

On your cyclo ride, discover the maze of back streets throughout the Old Quarter.

After attending Hanoi’s famous water puppets show, learn the secrets behind this illusionary piece of theatre thanks to your special backstage pass.

Tonight choose to dine at KOTO on Van Mieu, or La Terrace at Sofitel. Alternatively, Ly Club menu, or Le Beaulieu, which promises a multi-award winning cuisine. (B,D)

Day 3: Hanoi – embark Halong Bay cruise
Journey to Halong Bay and board the elegant Au Co for an awe-inspiring special two night cruise through the picturesque waters of this spectacular World Heritage-listed icon. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Halong Bay cruise
Begin the day with a Tai Chi lesson. Later, visit Cat Ba Island before cruising deeper into the National Park.

Tonight enjoy an enchanting cave dinner in the aptly titled Fairy Cave. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Disembark Halong Bay cruise – Hanoi – Siem Reap
Return to Hanoi for your flight to Siem Reap. Be greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival at your hotel, your special stay for the next three nights. (B,D)

Day 6: Siem Reap
Begin the day with a visit Preah Khan and Ta Prohm temples.

Learn about an initiative that trains local Cambodian archaeologists who will in time take over the ongoing maintenance of the temples.

Visit Angkor Thom, the multi-faced Bayon Temple and the Elephant Terrace before stopping at Angkor Wat for those beautiful afternoon photos.

Choose between local Khmer cuisine at Chanrey Tree or French Fusion at Sokkhak River.

Take your VIP seat at the colourful Cambodian Circus, Phare. (B,D)

Day 7: Siem Reap
Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat with a glass of champagne. Afterwards explore the temple before taking an included tethered balloon ride for incredible aerial views.

Discover Banteay Srei temple and visit the Landmine Museum or explore Beng Mealea temple and the Artisans D'Angkor Handicraft Centre. Alternatively, cruise on Tonle Sap to view the floating villages.

Be wowed by a magical themed gala dinner, drinks and a show featuring Apsara dancers performing in front of floodlit temple ruins. (B,D)

Day 8: Siem Reap – embark cruise
Drive to Kampong Cham with stops at the ancient Khmer bridge at Kampong Kdei, Kampong Thom and a stone cutters village. Next stop is the luxurious Scenic Spirit. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Wat Hanchey - Kampong Cham 
Meet the young novice monks at Wat Hanchey. Sail to Kampong Cham where you visit Phnom Pros (Man Hill), explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok and Wat Nokor. (B,L,D)

Day 10: Oudong - Kampong Tralach - Kho Chen
After arriving at Prek K'dam, board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the mountain stupas, pagoda and monastery.

Receive a blessing in the pagoda from a monk and learn how to pray in a Buddhist pagoda before giving a donation of food, contributing to the daily meal of the resident nuns and monks.

Drive to Wat Kampong Tralach to experience an ox cart ride through local villages before re-boarding Scenic Spirit. Later visit the silversmith village of Kho Chen. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Phnom Penh
Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or take a guided tour of the local food market before joining a Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, explore by Tuk Tuk Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings and the Russian Market.

After lunch at a local NGO restaurant, travel by Tuk Tuk to the National Museum and Royal Palace.

Arrive in style by cyclo and immerse yourself in the historically celebrated luxury of Raffles, Hotel Le Royal with an indulgent high tea. Enjoy a private shadow puppet and masked dance performance. (B,L,D)

Day 12: Phnom Penh – Tan Chau
Relax during a full day of cruising as you cross the border into Vietnam. Make use of the ship’s luxury and take the time to enjoy a cocktail by the pool or appreciate some solitude on your private balcony. Tonight is your themed gala ball. (B,L,D)

Day 13: Tan Chau
Stay in Tan Chau and visit Evergreen Island and the local Cao Dai Temple with a ride in a cyclo. Alternatively choose from two options which cruise by speedboat to Chau Doc. Visit a family-operated fish farm before walking through a Cham village and taking a cyclo ride or visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, Cham Mountain and a local Khmer village. (B,L,D)

Day 14: Sa Dec – Cai Be
Immerse yourself in the historic town of Sa Dec and explore the lively market, visit the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant and visit the Fuijian Chinese temple.

Board a sampan to visit Cai Be floating market before stopping at local cottage industries and a French colonial house.

Return to Scenic Spirit or continue exploring Dong Ha Hiep Island. Alternatively savour an afternoon tea at the French colonial Le Longanier House featuring local musicians and cultural demonstrations. (B,L,D)

Day 15: Disembark cruise – Ho Chi Minh City
Depart My Tho and drive to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival enjoy a leisurely walk around Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House and Central Post Office; take in the view from the Bietexco Building lookout before relaxing at your historic hotel for the next two nights

Take a dinner cruise along the Saigon River, or savour a meal in the surroundings of an old French colonial house. Alternatively, enjoy an international buffet at Restaurant Nineteen. (B,L,D)

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City
Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels with a Vietnam War Veteran.

Undertake a tour of Saigon’s art galleries, or discover the back streets of Chinatown on a vintage Vespa ride. Alternatively, visit Reunification Palace and War Museum.

Tonight join your friends for a final farewell dinner. (B,L,D)
