Day 3 Hanoi > Halong Bay Cruise

Day 4 Halong Bay Cruise
Begin the day with a Tai Chi lesson. Later, visit Cat Ba Island before cruising deeper into the National Park.

Day 6 Siem Reap
Begin the day with a visit to the colossal Angkor Wat, before exploring at Angkor Thom and the multi-faced Bayon Temple. See the Elephant Terrace before enjoying your refreshing Khmer lunch. Later visit the atmospheric Ta Prohm Temple as seen in the film Tomb Raider.

Day 7 Siem Reap
Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat before moving to a special location for a champagne breakfast with food prepared by a local NGO supported bakery school.
Freechoice: Discover the temple of Banteay Srei and Landmine Museum or explore Beng Mealea temples and the Artisans D’Angkor Handicraft Centre. Alternatively, cruise on Tonle Sap or ride a tethered balloon before visiting a Pouk Silk Farm and Preah Khan Temple. For the more adventurous enjoy a vintage Vespa ride.
Tonight be wowed by a magical themed gala dinner at an Angkor temple, with included drinks and a show featuring Apsara dancers in front of candle lit temple ruins.(B,D)
Day 8 Siem Reap > Mekong Cruise
Drive to Kampong Cham where Scenic Spirit awaits, with stops at the Khmer bridge, Kampong Thom and a stone cutters village.(B,L,D)
Day 9 Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham
Awake as you approach Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery to meet the resident novice monks. Walk to the top and soak in some of the best elevated views of the cruise before sailing downstream to Kampong Cham.
Freechoice: Learn about the history of the area with a visit to Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and then Wat Nokor. Alternatively explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok or spend your time wandering through the township of Kampong Cham.(B,L,D)
Day 10 Kampong Tralach > Oudong > Kho Chen
Cruise up the Tonle Sap River to Kampong Tralach, experience an ox cart ride from the ship through a local village and fields to Wat Kampong Tralach. Board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the impressive pagoda and monastery to observe the lifestyle of the resident monks and nuns.
Receive a blessing in the pagoda from a monk and learn how to pray in a Buddhist pagoda before giving a donation which contributes to the daily meal of the resident nuns and monks.
Drive a short distance to Prek K’dam to re-board Scenic Spirit. Later sail downstream to wander through the silversmith village of Kho Chen before continuing your cruise to Phnom Penh.(B,L,D)
Day 11 Phnom Penh
Freechoice: Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or tour the local food market before joining a hands on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, by Tuk Tuk explore Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings, the Central Market as well as its modern architecture.
Arrive by tuk tuk and enjoy a guided tour of the historic Raffles, Hotel Le Royal, followed by an indulgent high tea prepared in front of you by the hotel’s chefs, all whilst sipping on your cocktail named in honour of Jacqueline Kennedy.(B,L,D)
Day 12 Phnom Penh > Tan Chau
Visit the National Museum and Royal Palace before setting sail for the Cambodian and Vietnamese border. Relax during your afternoon of cruising as you cross the border into Vietnam. Celebrate arriving in Vietnam with your themed evening dinner.(B,L,D)
Day 13 Tan Chau
Freechoice: Visit Evergreen Island and enjoy a ride in a Xe Loi to the local Cao Dai Temple. Alternatively explore Chau Doc city or visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary.(B,L,D)
Day 14 Sa Dec > Cai Be
Immerse yourself in the historic town of Sa Dec and explore the lively market. Stop for a green tea at the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant.
Freechoice: Board a sampan to visit Cai Be before stopping at local cottage industries and a traditional house. Alternatively savour afternoon tea at the French colonial Le Longanier House. Or choose an on board Freechoice activity(B,L,D).
Day 15 Mekong Cruise > Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy an orientation tour around your hotel for a two night Special Stay.
Freechoice Dining: Enjoy a Vespa foodie tour of Saigon by night or enjoy a meal in the surroundings of an old French colonial house. Alternatively dine at Restaurant Nineteen or Square One.(B,L,D)
Day 16 Ho Chi Minh City
Travel along the Saigon River to the Cu Chi Tunnels and learn about the underground labyrinth of war-time passageways. After lunch discover all about Vietnam’s more modern history through a visit to the Reunification Palace and War Museum. (B,L,D)
Day 17 Ho Chi Minh City
Depart with many cherished memories. (B)
