Day 1 Siem Reap
Arrive at your hotel Siem Reap, your stylish home for a three night Special Stay. Spend the day at leisure until your welcome briefing and dinner. (Dinner)
Day 2 Siem Reap
Begin the day with a visit to the colossal Angkor Wat, before exploring at Angkor Thom and the multi-faced Bayon Temple. See the Elephant Terrace before enjoying your refreshing Khmer lunch. Later visit the atmospheric Ta Prohm Temple as seen in the film Tomb Raider.
Take your Section A Reserved seat at the colourful Cambodian Circus, Phare. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 3 Siem Reap
Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat before moving to a special location for a champagne breakfast with food prepared by an NGO supported local bakery school.
Freechoice: Discover the temple of Banteay Srei and visit the Landmine Museum or explore Beng Mealea temples and the Artisans D’Angkor Handicraft Centre. Alternatively, cruise on Tonle Sap (seasonal) to view the floating villages or take a tethered balloon ride (weather dependent) to experience the spectacular aerial view above Angkor Wat.
Be wowed by a magical themed gala dinner at an Angkor temple, with included free flow drinks and a show featuring Apsara dancers in front of candle lit temple ruins. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Siem Reap > Mekong Cruise
Discover Cambodia’s rural countryside on your drive with stops en-route to Kampong Cham where the luxurious Scenic Spirit awaits. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham
Walk (or drive) to the top of Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery to meet the resident novice monks. Sail downstream to Kampong Cham.
Freechoice: Learn about the history of the area with a visit to Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and then Wat Nokor. Alternatively explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok or spend your time visiting a rubber plantation factory and beetle nut village. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 Kampong Tralach > Oudong > Kho Chen
Arrive in Kampong Tralach and experience an ox cart ride through a local village and fields. Board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the impressive pagoda and monastery to observe the lifestyle of the resident monks and nuns.
Receive a blessing from a monk and learn how to pray in a Buddhist pagoda before partaking in a ceremony, which contributes to the daily meal of the resident nuns and monks.
Later sail down Tonle River and wander through the silversmith village of Kho Chen. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Phnom Penh
Freechoice: Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or join a hands-on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, by Tuk Tuk explore Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings and Central Market.
Immerse yourself in the historically celebrated luxury of Raffles, Hotel Le Royal. Enjoy a guided history tour followed by an indulgent high tea prepared in front of you by the hotel’s chefs, all whilst sipping on your signature cocktail named in honour of Jacqueline Kennedy. Choose to retire to the Elephant Bar for happy hour before returning to the ship viewing the floodlit Independence Monument en-route. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Phnom Penh > Tan Chau
Marvel at the Royal Palace, with the famous Silver Pagoda within, on your included visit to this must-see attraction. The afternoon is at your leisure to take advantage of the facilities of the most luxurious ship on the Mekong as you set sail for the border. Celebrate arriving in Vietnam with your themed evening dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Tan Chau
Freechoice: Visit the farmers on Evergreen Island and enjoy a ride in a Xe Loi. Alternatively cruise by speedboat to Chau Doc and walk through the market, visit a family-operated fish farm and cruise around Chau Doc waterfront. Alternatively visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary.
Whilst sailing to Sa Dec take the time to sip a cocktail by the pool or enjoy the solitude on your private balcony. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 Sa Dec > Cai Be
Immerse yourself in the historic town of Sa Dec and explore its lively market. Stop for tea at the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant.
Freechoice: Visit Cai Be before stopping at local cottage industries and a traditional house in the area. Alternatively savour afternoon tea at a French colonial house or choose to stay on board for your special Freechoice activity. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Mekong Cruise > Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy an orientation tour around the sights near your Special Stay hotel. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure or visit Ben Thanh market to indulge in some shopping.
Freechoice Dining: Enjoy a vintage Vespa foodie tour of Saigon by night or enjoy a meal in the surroundings of an old French colonial house. Alternatively stay close to your hotel and enjoy international dishes at Restaurant Nineteen or Square One. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Ho Chi Minh City
Travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels and learn about the underground labyrinth of war-time passageways. Visit the Reunification Palace and War Museum before attending tonight’s farewell dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 13 Ho Chi Minh City
Today is a day at leisure as an independent stay. (Breakfast)
Day 14 Ho Chi Minh City > Yangon
Say farewell to Vietnam and fly to Myanmar’s largest city, Yangon for a two night Special Stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 15 Yangon
Freechoice: Embark for a ride on the local train around Yangon’s suburbs. Alternatively, be guided on a tour of Yangon’s thriving art scene, or ride a ferry across the Yangon River to Dhala village.
Visit Chaukhtatgyi Paya, Yangon’s reclining Buddha.
As the sun begins to set, wander through Shwedagon Pagoda and learn about the ritual of ‘oil lamp lighting’ before partaking in this local tradition.
This evening enjoy the included facilities of your executive club access. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 16 Yangon > Pyay (Prome) > Irrawaddy Cruise
On your drive to Pyay, pay your respect at Htaukkyant Allied War Cemetery. On arrival, board the luxurious Scenic Aura and relax at a welcome cocktail reception. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 17 Pyay (Prome) > Sri Ksetra
Admire the view over Pyay with a visit to the Shwesandaw Pagoda before heading to Sri Ksetra, the ancient Pyu Kingdom’s capital and also Myanmar’s first World Heritage-listed Site. Return to the ship to commence your cruise north into the heart of Myanmar. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 18 Thayetmyo
A morning of exploration awaits in Thayetmyo. Try your hand at putting on the oldest golf course in Myanmar, admire the region’s old colonial buildings and explore the gems at the local market before returning to the ship to continue to Magwe. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 19 Magwe
In Magwe, explore the town by traditional trishaw, similar to a sidecar. Visit Mya Tha Lun Pagoda, a mesmerising architectural vision set on Naguttama Hill with superb views over the river. Enjoy the remainder of the day cruising to Salay. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 20 Salay > Bagan
On your morning walking tour of Salay admire the beautiful teak monastery and look inside the largest lacquer Buddha in Myanmar.
Soak up the ambience of the river and the colonial feel of the town whilst enjoying traditional local Burmese tea and snacks in a restored colonial villa dating from 1906.
Relax on the sundeck with a cocktail in hand viewing the many temples and pagodas that line the river as you approach Bagan. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 21 Bagan
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight - Between 01 October and 31 March, take a chance to ride in a hot air balloon flight over the majestic temples of Bagan. Must be purchased prior to your cruise.
Freechoice: Venture to Mount Popa, home to Myanmar’s nats or nature spirits. Alternatively, explore the markets at Nyaung U before discovering the Temple Circuit, or enjoying a visit to Old Bagan.
Afterwards, visit the most iconic sight of this hypnotic region, the Ananda Temple.
This evening, be treated to a special occasion arranged especially for Scenic guests where you will be able to partake in a magical tradition of the Burmese people. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 22 Bagan > Pakkoku
Rise early to attend morning alms for the local monks. Back on board try mohinga, a traditional breakfast of the local people.
Travel by horse and cart through a local village then through the surrounding plain and it’s temple ruins before learning all about the production of Burmese lacquerware. Depart Bagan and stop off at the Pakkoku to visit a cheroot cigar workshop and longyi and blanket factory before continuing to Yandabo. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 23 Yandabo
Sail to Yandabo where in 1826, the peace treaty ending the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed. Now famous for its pottery, stroll through the village and witness the artisans honing their craft. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 24 Sagaing > Inwa (Ava)
In the ancient capitals of Sagaing and Inwa, spiritual enlightenment awaits.
In the ancient capital of Sagaing interact with novice monks, nuns and orphans during a special visit to a monastic supported school before continuing to a quiet nunnery where you will partake in the ritual and our donation to the resident nuns before their midday meal.
Across the river, explore by horse and cart the sites within the ruins of Inwa’s palace, for more than 400 years the capital of the Ava Kingdom. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 25 Mingun > Mandalay > Amarapura
Cruise to Mingun to discover the stories behind a massive unfinished brick pagoda. Nearby, admire the famous un-cracked Mingun Bell and the all-white Hsinbyume Pagoda. Sail to Mandalay to visit Amarapura.
In Amarapura, relax with evening drinks in boats under U-Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge, to capture that memorable photo of the bridge’s silhouette at sunset.

Day 26 Irrawaddy Cruise > Mandalay
After disembarkation, marvel at Shwenandaw, a beautiful wooden monastery covered internally in gold leaf. Equally as impressive are the sights at Kuthodaw Pagoda, where the ‘World’s Largest Book’ is housed. Later walk through the rebuilt Mandalay Palace, destroyed during World War II.
A specialist industry to the area, learn how to produce gold leaf at a local workshop. At Mahamuni Pagoda, male guests will be able to place the gold leaf on the iconic Buddha statue.
Later as the sun sets, head to Mandalay Hill to enjoy the magnificent views before a night at Mandalay. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 27 Mandalay > Inle Lake
Fly to Heho and drive to Nyaung Shwe. After lunch in town, glide across the waters of Inle Lake in private long tail boats towards your resort for a three night Special Stay. This afternoon relax at your hotel and take in your serene surroundings. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 28 Inle Lake
Cruise to Inle Lake’s floating market, which moves location every five days. Later, visit Phuang Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the region’s holiest sites.
Learn about life at home on the lake with a visit to a local Intha family where your host will cook and demonstrate to you on how to prepare your traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, traverse a small canal leading to the Pa-Oh village of Indein. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 29 Inle Lake
Freechoice: Visit Pindaya Caves and try cooking local cuisine, or visit Tauggyi for lunch at Myanmar’s oldest winery. Alternatively take a local village trek close by to your hotel.
Enjoy some evening drinks, the perfect opportunity to share today’s tales of exploration whilst overlooking the stunning lake. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 30 Inle Lake > Yangon
Fly to Yangon for lunch at the historical House of Memories Restaurant, once the office of General Aung San. Later check into your hotel for your last night. Savour your farewell dinner at the Le Planteur Restaurant on Inya Lake. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 31 Yangon
Say farewell to Myanmar and your South East Asian adventure. (Breakfast)
